The O-Shot® For Women.
Women who experience sexual dysfunction, struggle to achieve orgasm, or have urinary incontinence may benefit from the O-Shot. The treatment increases sensitivity and stimulation to improve sex drive and the sexual experience.
How the O-Shot Works
The O-Shot uses platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to stimulate and speed up the healing process. PRP treatments are commonly used to rejuvenate many areas of your body naturally without the risk of any side effects.
During your treatment, a blood sample is taken, which is then spun at a high frequency within a centrifuge. This process separates the vital platelet-rich plasma from within your blood.
An experienced and certified provider will then inject the serum into the appropriate treatment area. The most common areas for the O-Shot are the labia, the internal vaginal canal, and the clitoral hood.
This might sound uncomfortable, but the procedure is pain free with the use of numbing creams, making it as painless and comfortable as possible.
Am I a Candidate for the O-Shot?
This treatment is ideal for individuals suffering from:
-
Sexual dysfunction
-
Urinary incontinence
-
Low sex drive
-
Vaginal atrophy
-
Pain during intercourse
-
Vaginal dryness
Recovery Period
Patients can expect a quick recovery from the o-shot. Patients may even have intercourse the same day as treatment. However, some sensitivity for a day or two can be expected for some. Results can first be experienced within the 3- days of treatment. Typically, results reach their peak within 3 months. Patients can expect results to last at least a year.
What To Expect During The Procedure
Step 1 – Your provider will take a sample of your blood. This is usually taken from your arm.
Step 2 – This sample is put into a special centrifuge and spun to extract the Platelet-Rich Plasma.
Step 3 – Our experienced and certified provider will then inject the PRP serum into the treatment area.
Injections to such sensitive areas might sound uncomfortable, but the whole procedure will be carried out under local anaesthetic, making it as painless and comfortable as possible.
The Recovery Process
There is little to no downtime associated with an O-Shot procedure, although some patients may experience mild swelling for a few days.
Normal activities, including sex, can be resumed on the same day.
Is The O-Shot Right For You?
The O-Shot is growing in popularity because, unlike other treatments, this is suitable for all women. Drawing on your body’s natural ability to heal itself, you won’t experience any side effects and improvements can be noticed within days of the treatment.
The treatment improves sensitivity and reduces pain that might be associated with sex, especially if you are suffering from vaginal dryness or lichen sclerosus.
The Results
Patients report a healthier, more responsive vagina and clitoris, as well as feeling more enthusiastic about sex.
Most women report a noticeable improvement in their sexual arousal and orgasm intensity and the full effects of the treatment will most likely manifest after 3 months.
